Great service. Very good food. The menu has been simplified for a very pleasant dining experience, and yet there's still something for everyone. Glad the Firehouse is open again.

We went to 2021 Opening night, so we expected some hiccups but it did not disappoint. Food was good and Seth the bartender is great.

Stopped here with the family after a day trip to Burlington Vt. Cool place in an old firehouse. We were able to sit on the back porch area overlooking a stream. Beautiful spot. We even had a visitor (on the ground below us, not on the porch) a small raccoon. Our server was very good with accommodating both a gluten and peanut/tree nut allergy at our table. The menu even notes items that are gluten free. Very helpful. The fried green beans were delicious and the perch tacos were very good. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. We will be heading there again tonight. Already looking forward to it.

Our evening started with a call to make a reservation. "No reservations unless you are a boater." Got a chuckle out of the political lack of correctness of this policy. Putting this aside we were warmly greeted and sat at the bar while we waited for our preferred table on the deck brookside Didn't even have time to finish our generous Tanquery and tonic with extra fresh lime when our table was ready. For a starter we shared crispy calamari which was fun with fried peppers added. Ordered dinner and a bottle of Sancerre wine to pair with our seafood dinners. Tom had a special of clams, mussels and chorizo on linguini with a flavorful broth that he really enjoyed. I order broiled halibut with a fennel citrus finish served on herb rice and harcourt vertes (green beans). Perfectly cooked and flavorful. Our complements to the chef. The wine was delicious as we leisurely finished the bottle brookside. Service was friendly and attentive. Thanks Josh. May be the only show in town and it is a worthy show tucked away in Hague. Worth the trip. Oh dear, we went back again with friends on a Monday for dinner and the meals were most disappointing. Ordered two different flat breads for appetizers and two of the same were served. They eventually brought the second flatbread. Both were quite good and from there it was down hill. Two of us ordered fish tacos and we were served crispy fish chips on tacos...not what fish tacos are like anywhere else. Grilled chicken on pita was was a pitifully small flavorless serving. This dinner was the exact opposite of what we experienced earlier. Consistency may be a problem in the kitchen.

I think that the Hague Firehouse is the best bar and restaurant on Lake George in the Adirondacks. It's up on the northern end of lake george in hague just a few blocks off the lake. The building is situated right on a beautiful brook and has an outdoor patio with seating overlooking it. The new chef this year is great and the pub food is excellent. My favorites are the fresh salads, the chicken and their fish & chips. They have a full bar and change up the beers on draft. They have a new pilsner which I loved this past weekend. It's also a fun spot to hang out at night. Sometimes it's busy and takes a while to get a table for dinner but usually you can just grab a beer and hang out by the bar or outside for the table. My favorite lake george watering hole on the lake and I'll keep coming back.
